Me and Woodsy

Me and Woodsy

Hi guys, recently I’ve been attending the Salomon Grom Camps getting coached by Pat Sharples, Becky Bennett, Josh Fawcett, Katie Summerhayes and James ‘Woodsy’ Woods.

It’s been so good learning new tricks. I’ve learned front surface switch up, switch on front two out of the pipes and also switch on front swap out of the pipes. Then sessions so far have been at Chill Factore and Tamworth Snow Dome.
A big thank you to all the coaches for there help and I can’t wait for the ones in the future.

Grab on the roller!

Hi guys, I recently competed in K-jam 2015 at Kendal Snowsports Club.

It was an extremely good day and super fun. It started off with the main jam, everyone was throwing down hard but when it came to the final, only very few of us got through……………..and i made it to the final!

Concentration on a rail!

In the final everyone kept jamming and the judges took in the scores. Unfortunately i didn’t podium but well done to Justin Taylor-Tipton, Tom Greenway and Arthur Holmes who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the under 16 age category (my category).
Overall it was a great day and i was just supper stoked to be able to reach the finals!
Thanks always to the team at Ski Olympic for their ongoing support.

British Freeski Camps

Hi guys recently I’ve been to two British Freeski Camps being coached by Becky Bennett and Tyler Harding.
The first session was at Halifax. It was a good day and i was practising my grabs off the big kicker for half the session. The second half of the session i was practising my 360 so the they were perfect before i take them to 540.
The second session was at Rossendale. It was a very fun day and my first ever time at Rossendale. i was so happy that i was doing my 360 off the big kicker and landing them!
Happy to say i’m now landing my 540’s and looking forward to taking them on to bigger kickers.

“We are delighted to offer these two talented teenagers the opportunity to train more and access even more opportunities to allow them to maximise their potential and fulfil their dreams,” said Jarrod Osborne Director Ski Olympic. “Our support, in addition to that of their families, will help them to focus on their ultimate goals and hopefully become professional sports people in the future.”

Millie currently specialises in Slopestyle and is ranked 2nd in her age group. Meanwhile Mason, who has been skiing since he was five also competes in the same discipline and has recently competed in the British Championships at Chill Factor in Manchester.

“We’ve become good training partners and encourage each other to push the boundaries making sure we keep improving all the time,” commented Millie. “Sponsorship is really important to us as it helps us to get the best out of all that is on offer to make us even better.”

Mason concluded, “We’ve enjoyed some fantastic training sessions at SnoZone Castleford and at the Halifax Ski Centre and can now make the most of all the opportunities that come our way thanks to the support of Jarrod and his team.”

Shredding The Alps At New Year!

Sauze D'Oux - New Year 2014

Box Grinding!

Hi guys, last week I went away on holiday to Sauze D’Oux in the Italian Alps with my family.

I had a really good time and spent a lot of my time in the park and got some really good shots on my gopro! I was really pleased to get a few safety 180’s and thank freestyle coach Marco Eydallin for his help and encouragement.

For Christmas I got a new pair of skis, the Armada BDog! I’m so happy with them as they are extremely fun and a lot more flexible than my old ones so a big thank you  to my family for buying these.

Watch out for the edit dropping soon!
