So recently I was awarded ‘Camper Of The Year’ by British Freeski Camps. I was presented with a pair of Faction Kennedy skis, a Faction jacket, Faction ski pants and a British Freeski Camps t-shirt.
I would like to thank every one at British Freeski Camps for nominating me and presenting me with such amazing prizes. I’ve had my Marker Griffon bindings mounted and really enjoyed riding them at Snozone, Castleford.
Over the year I’ve really enjoyed getting coached by Beckyand Andy Bennett and everyone else over at British Freeski Camps at Halifax and Rossendale. I feel that I’ve improved a lot and i can’t wait to put these new skills into practice during the British Indoor Slopestyle Championships (The Brits) next month.
Unfortunately I’ve recently cracked the edge of my Armada Bdog’s which means that they are not very suitable for hitting rails, this has meant that I’m now riding on a pair of Armada Alpha X’s and I’m so happy with them!
On Saturday I competed in the English Slopestyle Championships at Chill Factore in Manchester. It was very enjoyable day and everyone did very well.
Chillin’ with my mates
We started off with a 2 hours practise trying to get as many runs in as possible and get 2 runs ready for the qualification round. Next was the qualifications where everyone had to do two runs each, the top 12 made the finals.
Unfortunately I didn’t make the finals but I was only a few points away from it.
Overall I came 16th out of 40 In the males skier and I am so happy with my results and already looking forward to the next competition.
Hi guys, had a really good bank holiday weekend shredding!
On Thursday I went up to Chill Factore for the Grom Camp. Friday I skied at Snozone Castleford, Saturday Halifax Ski Centre for a sunset session……….got my 540’z dialled, nice! Day off on Sunday and then went to my friend Jacobs to ride his garden gib on Bank Holiday Monday.
Back Garden Jib
Fantastic weekend, really loving my sport at the moment!
It’s been so good learning new tricks. I’ve learned front surface switch up, switch on front two out of the pipes and also switch on front swap out of the pipes. Then sessions so far have been at Chill Factore and Tamworth Snow Dome.
A big thank you to all the coaches for there help and I can’t wait for the ones in the future.
It was an extremely good day and super fun. It started off with the main jam, everyone was throwing down hard but when it came to the final, only very few of us got through……………..and i made it to the final!
Concentration on a rail!
In the final everyone kept jamming and the judges took in the scores. Unfortunately i didn’t podium but well done to Justin Taylor-Tipton, Tom Greenway and Arthur Holmes who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the under 16 age category (my category).
Overall it was a great day and i was just supper stoked to be able to reach the finals!
Thanks always to the team at Ski Olympic for their ongoing support.
Hi guys recently I’ve been to two British Freeski Camps being coached by Becky Bennett and Tyler Harding.
The first session was at Halifax. It was a good day and i was practising my grabs off the big kicker for half the session. The second half of the session i was practising my 360 so the they were perfect before i take them to 540.
The second session was at Rossendale. It was a very fun day and my first ever time at Rossendale. i was so happy that i was doing my 360 off the big kicker and landing them!
Happy to say i’m now landing my 540’s and looking forward to taking them on to bigger kickers.
Hitting a rail at the ‘after hours’ photo and video shoot
Hi Guys, so recently I was chosen to go and ride at Snozone Castleford at the after hours photo shoot. It was a great experience as there were so many amazing riders there including a few team GB riders including Katie Summerhayse, Tyler Harding and Molly Summerhayse.
I was stoked that i had this opportunity and i hope i get more opportunities like this in the future.
