A ‘clean’ 3 off the kicker
On Saturday I competed in the English Slopestyle Championships at Chill Factore in Manchester. It was very enjoyable day and everyone did very well.
Chillin’ with my mates
We started off with a 2 hours practise trying to get as many runs in as possible and get 2 runs ready for the qualification round. Next was the qualifications where everyone had to do two runs each, the top 12 made the finals.
Unfortunately I didn’t make the finals but I was only a few points away from it.
Overall I came 16th out of 40 In the males skier and I am so happy with my results and already looking forward to the next competition.
Thanks to Ski Olympic for their support.
Individual runs, best of 2 in qualification.
Two edits from the last couple of weeks. I’ve had a busy time on the slopes here in the north of England, it’s been really enjoyable.
The first one was from the Friday night freestyle session at Xscape in Castleford, it was a really good session and a great park!
The next one is from the British Freeski Camp at Halifax. It was the first dry slope I’ve ever skied on and it was really good! I was practicing my 360 and was happy to get it by the end of the day!
Thanks to Matt and Aaron from Xscape and Becky and Joe from British Freeski Camps for their coaching and support, a second big shout out to Becky for the fab video footage.
Great fun on the jumps around Chaplets above Courchevel 1650
